Unformatted text preview: MATH 10A Questions to help you review for midterm 2 Midterm 2 is cumulative, but the emphasis is on Sections 2.1 - 3.6 . Extra office hours next week : Wednesday 11am - 12:30pm. Usual hours on Friday as well. Some suggestions: Summarize each section weve covered in 6 to 7 sentences. Write down major formulas/concepts/results. Identify a problem from the homework which best illustrates how the for- mula/concept/result was used. Review how you solved the problem. Find a similar problem from the Review Exercises at the end of each chapter, and do it. Sometimes it is helpful to reorder your notes, so that it is easier to make connec- tions between related topics. For example What is the connection between limits and derivatives? What is the connection between limits and continuity? Find an example of a function which has a limit at x = a , but is not continuous at x = a ....
