Unformatted text preview: Bryce Wright Ch 116 Density & Graphing 1. Procedure Description. a. Measured mass of empty 50mL beaker. b. Group members took two turns each measuring random volumes of water using a 10mL graduated pipet. These volumes were placed into the empty 50mL beaker. Proper pipet technique: • Squeeze bulb and immerse pipet tip in water. • Slowly release pressure on bulb until desired water level is reached. • Remove bulb and quickly place thumb over pipet mouth. • Release water by lifting thumb. Release to the 10mL mark towards the bottom of the pipet. c. Measured final mass (beaker + pipet volume) after each member recorded their volumes of water. d.
