On Blackboard, I have posted syllabi and writing assignments from two fictional English 101 courses. For this essay, I want you to analyze one of these assignments. Essentially, you want to answer the following questions: if you were a student in this English course, how would you go about completing this assignment? Based on what you can discern from the assignment description and the course syllabus, what kind of essay do you think the teacher is probably expecting from his/her students? In the process of answering these questions, you might want to address some of the following issues: 1. The Teacher – From what you can tell, what kind of person is this instructor? How would you describe his/her personality? What can you observe about his/her philosophy about the writing process? 2. Genre Does the teacher expect you to follow a certain format?
