Information Systems and Software Applications in Business Businesses are made to provide a service or a product. Few businesses work for non- profit, however the majority of them do so for profit, usually for as much as the market will comfortably allow. “No matter what your product is, you are ultimately in the education business. Your customers need to be constantly educated about the many advantages of doing business with you, trained to use your products more effectively, and taught how to make never- ending improvement in their lives” (Robert G Allen). Information systems and software applications are used to keep the process of customers continuing to buy and improve their lives through services and products provided by business throughout the world. Businesses have departments that help maintain proper working order to stay updated and competitive with others. Accounting, marketing, and human resources are but a few. They each need the appropriate information systems and software applications to run smoothly. “There's no business like show business, but there are several businesses like accounting”
