Everyone who is anyone has demonstrated or will demonstrate the relationship between professional values, ethics, and career success. Although they have different meanings, they all connect one way or another. So in this writing my colleagues and I will explain the difference between the three and how they are all needed in order to succeed in our personal and professional lives. But this cannot be done without defining the words values and ethics. This will help to understand what is valued in the professional world and why one conducts them self the way they do. Some values and ethics are considered more important than others depending on the profession one is in. Professional values and ethics can impact ones career success. I am sure those of us that has entered the professional world have experienced this one way or another. Further in the reading there will be at least two examples of this description. “We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly” -Aristotle.
