Dealing with Time : It is a null function meaning that it doesn’t have an argument it is just “=Now(“ You can set seconds with it but the seconds don’t continue to tick because it is not “now” However, anytime there is any data that is updated in the workbook…the entire workbook is updated including the seconds and minutes. Or you could click F9 to update and re calculate the entire workbook Shift + F9 updates just a single worksheet. Colons let Excel know you mean minutes not month example: “hh:mm:ss” Parse Data : to separate data based on some kind of syntax The whole category text function is all about Parse data* Concatenate : string formulas together opposite of parse data Date : 3 “m” gets you Jan, Feb, ect. 4 “m” gets you January, February, ect. Double Quotes tells Excel it is text for example in the Vested Column on the Employees Excel spreadsheet. You do not have to put quotes around TRUE or FALSE Logical Fxn Practice Excel

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
