List some common neurotransmitters and describe their effect on behavior. <Insert Response Here> Our brains have over 100 billion neurons and our bodies have billions more that are found throughout. Messages are received in the brain from neurons that receive and transmit sensory information. The cell body receives information from the dendrite that picks up information from neurons and they are sent to other neurons. Muscles or glands receive messages from the axon that varies in length depending on the location in the body. These messages are outgoing messages to the muscles or glands from the axon. The spinal cord receives messages from all the information that the neuron gathers and then sent to the brain.
