Oxygen Saturation DO, or dissolved oxygen, refers to molecular oxygen dissolved in water DO is a function of temperature, pressure, and salinity DO is typically expressed as a percentage of the maximum amount of oxygen that can dissolve in the water at the prevailing temperature, pressure, and salinity DO levels in “healthy” aquatic environments normally have a minimum of 75-80% saturation 2
