Karen Kolasinski NATURAL I chose the tomato (image #1) to go under the natural category because it is a plant that naturally grows. Man did not invent the tomato, it is just a plant that grows and has been around for a long time. I can see why people may argue that it would be artificial or man-made because the tomato in the picture was most likely grown by a farmer, who took good care of his plants. They might also argue that if this plant did not have the help of man and chemicals that it would not look that good. The reason I put it under natural is because I would put almost any plant under the natural category. To me, that just makes a lot more sense, unless it was like a hybrid plant, then that would be considered artificial. I do not think that there are other images that complicate my placement because I choose to put all of the plants under natural. If I considered putting one of the other plants under the artificial category, then it might complicate my decision, but since I did not, there are no complications in the decisions I made when putting the tomato under the natural category. Plants are part of nature, it is as simple as that. ARTIFICAL I decided to put the pet dog under the artificial category for a few reasons. Many may argue to place the dog under the natural category because he is a creature of nature and was not
