Bargaining Strategy Document 1. Your side’s core interests (in order of priority) 1. Raise base pay for staff (3+ yrs) from $48,000 to $80,000 & from $48,000 to $65,000 for all others. Halt all sub-contracting work. This is allowing the company to grow business with non-union workers and could lead to the loss of work entirely for the union in the future. 2. Promotions to premise sales position should come from telephone staff and they should be allowed to apply and test every year. The current failed for life is a tactic to pay less base pay since the new employees would have less years in the company. 3. Increase base pay each year based on cost of living increase for the life of contract. 4. Leave incentive pay to $200,000 allotments and keep them randomized. 5. Leave the vacation formula alone since this is a cut in pay by $8,000. 6. Increase per diem to double the current rate. 7. Change pension plan to best 3 years of sales. 8.
