Name: Erick Leonard Instructor: Lea Littleford 1/18/11 1. Martin Luther King Jr. 2. Martin Luther King Jr. is a very brilliant, confident, and astounding man. Dr. King gave his speech in Washington in the midst of a horrible time of segregation, and amongst all of the death threats against his life he gave his speech, “I have a Dream” without hesitation and continued to keep his head held high. I heard this speech on YouTube on Martin Luther King Day to truly emphasize his speech. I have never heard such an inspirational and touching speech to this day. 3. The reason this speech was so inspirational to me was the fact that not once did he threaten America, nor did he ever threaten whites. All he wanted was peace and for all of us to grow together as one. It was his dream to see us as a nation, “be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day”. 4. Martin Luther King’s style was phenomenal. He spoke in such a righteous way that it was
