Chan 2 Physics 126 Spring 2011 Homework p Home work 10% p Homework assignments are to help you to understand the concepts, for your benefits. p posted on the website every Friday p Home work must be handed in to the IA/TA before the start of your Friday lecture the week following. p Definition of ‘before ’: No later than 15 mins after the start time, i.e., no later than 15:15 for L1 and no later than 10:45 for L2. p HW1: already posted, due the coming Friday Feb 11. p Late homework will be penalized by at least 50%, and will not count at all after the solutions have been posted. http://teaching.phys.ust.hk/phys126/course_info.htm

Also for Q&A to help you to understand. p Quiz every other tutorial session p Quiz problems will be similar to the homework problems. p These problems will also give you some idea about what you can expect in the Midterm/Final. p If you believe you have a legitimate excuse for absence, you need to contact the instructors before the quiz. Chan 4 Physics 126 Spring 2011 PRS p PRS in lecture 2% p Start counting towards grade in Lecture 2 p 2 points for correct answer, 1 for incorrect answer, and 0 for no response. p 10% of the worst grades will be dropped, to account for legitimate absences (e.g. due to sickness, malfunction of your transmitter, etc) p Do not use more than one PRS handset in class. If you are caught having two handsets or more, the penalty for the first offense is 0 for the PRS grade (the 2%), for all caught handsets' owners.
