Lab #2 City of Fayetteville Trail System Find an access point to the Fayetteville city trail system. Maps can be found here: http://www.accessfayetteville.org/government/parks_and_recreation/documents/2009_Trails_Br ochure.pdf . (There are many access points that are close to campus) Travel at least one mile on the trail. Observe activity on the trail and complete the checklist provided on the back of this sheet. Turn the checklist in with your paper. 1. Take notes on the following: a. What section were you on? There are mile markers every .25 mile that display a trail name and distance from the trailhead. Report your location. b. Describe the trail use that you saw. What activities were people doing the most? For what purposes? c. What was the day/time? How did this affect the trail use that you observed? d. Describe the weather conditions. How did this affect the trail use that you observed? 2. Choose one of the activities that you have seen.
