An Expression Profiling Study - Questions on van’t Veer et al, 2002 In 2002, Laura van’t Veer and her coworkers published a pioneering paper on the use of gene expression profiling in cancer research, one that profoundly altered views on how to treat breast cancer. Please read the original paper by van’t Veer et al, and the short commentary article by Caldas and Aparicio that appeared in the same issue of Nature . Be prepared to discuss the article and the questions with your group, beginning on Wednesday, February 23. Use this discussion to make sure you understand the van’t Veer paper well enough to compose your individual response for question 1, 2 or 3 below.
