Chemistry Notes 1. The term “ hybridization ” is defined as the mixing together of s and p atomic orbital to form hybridized atomic orbitals. 2. Constitutional isomers are compounds that have the same molecular formula but different connectivity of atoms . 3. In general, electronegativity decreases going down any of the columns in the periodic table. 4. The Pauli Exclusion Principle states that only two electrons can occupy an orbital and they much be of opposite spin. 5. Bond strength is the energy released when a bond is formed or the energy required to break a bond. 6. A Bronsted Base is a proton acceptor. 7. Orbitals that have the same energy are called degenerate orbitals. 8. An alkyl group is the partial that remains when a hydrogen atom is removed from an alkane. 9. When describing a chemical reaction, the term “ thermodynamics of a reaction ” refers to the relative amounts of reactants and products present when a reaction has reached an equilibrium.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
