Unit 1 Individual Project 2 Abstract This paper will discuss the skills I feel are important in management, specifically what I would be looking for if I were hiring a new Service Department manager. It will cover the four functions of management; planning, organizing, leading, and controlling as well as some of the management roles. We are looking for a candidate that has experience in planning and running large meetings. In these meetings the candidate should have organized the meeting, prepared and presented large presentations, and showed the ability to keep the meeting on task and within the time scheduled for the meeting. As well as showing the ability to run important meetings, the candidate must have proven ability to manage their time effectively.
