I have chosen the following three principles to elaborate on; change only happens when each person makes a decision to implement the change, the more input people have into defining the changes that will affect their work, the more they will take ownership for the results, and "Truth" is more important during periods of change and uncertainty than "good news.", I chose these three because these are the ones I felt were most important to focus on when managing change. First I will discuss “change only happens when each person makes a decision to implement the change”. I feel this principle is essential because if an employee is not “sold” on the change they will be less receptive to it. People need to feel a change is beneficial, and it is up to the management tea m to get their employees on board with the changes they are making. If an employee is not sold that the change will have a benefit, the odds of them working hard to make that change a successful one greatly diminish.
