Unit 3 Individual Project 3 There are many problems that can arise when discussing internal control, and in order for a business is to be successful, they must overcome these issues. One example is the intricacy of some internal control systems. When controls are too complicated, many minor infractions surface causing problems for the business. Management needs to determine which risks are worth the costs and benefits. For example if an event takes place that only costs the business $100, is it worth the time and payroll for someone to investigate and even the possibility of the authorities and government becoming involved?
