Lauren Hanrahan MGT 331-07 I11 Building Management Skills I am currently an accounting major; however I am planning on attending graduate school to receive my Master’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in health care management. I would like to be involved in the administrative or finance department of a health care facility. The manager I desire to work for would be understanding, open minded, and driven. I have worked for managers before who are none of those, and are hard to get along with. 1. I would like to have a very high expectancy in my future career. There should always be new ways to push employees and to motivate them. I think for motivation to happen there needs to be encouragement from a manager, but a manager must also be stern in ensuring that employees get tasks done right and on time. To have expectancy there always needs to be chances for improvement and opportunities to keep moving up the ladder. Instrumentality is a part of expectancy. To promote high levels of instrumentality, there needs to be rewards
