Lauren Hanrahan MKT 351-01 Due: 11/18/2010 Report 4 The Foote Cone and Belding grid consists of six different quadrants for thinking products and emotional products of both high and low involvement. Different types of products fall within different areas along the grid. Depending on the involvement of the consumer, and the degree of their knowledge, the appropriate promotion strategy can be determined. Attached are four very different ads that fit into various parts of the Foote, Cone and Belding grid. The ad that I think would fit best for the upper right quadrants of the FCB is the Tiffany’s ad found in Glamour’s October, 2010 issue. Glamour is a young woman’s magazine focusing on fashion and beauty; the perfect spot for a Tiffany’s ad. This specific quadrant deals with both high involvement and feeling. Jewelry is an expensive product; Tiffany’s being among the most expensive. Thus, it is surely a high involvement product. Tiffany’s sparks many emotional feelings.
