Hopper 1 Christopher Hopper English Comp I Mrs. Kelly May 5, 2009 Uncle Cissy One Thanksgiving when I was around seven years old I believe my life changed forever  through meeting one person. The family was gathering at my parent’s home for Thanksgiving  dinner. My Aunt Carol had not showed up yet and we were getting ready to sit down to eat when  she walked in. Everything was ok at first and then behind her a woman walked in, who at first  glance looked like a hideous man. We were all in shock at first not knowing who she was. She introduced her to the family  and told everyone that it was her girlfriend. We were struck; no one in the family had known that  she was lesbian. Dinner was served and we all ate. It was a little awkward but everyone tried to  make her feel as comfortable as possible. I talked with her after dinner for what seemed like a  couple of hours. I found that she was a very interesting person and I loved talking to her. It was  the start of a great friendship. Cissy was definitely not blessed with the best looks. In fact she resembles that of an NFL  linebacker. She stands about six feet two inches tall and weighs every ounce of two hundred and
