I choose Liberty University as the topic of my discussion. Three concepts that I felt were important to Liberty in chapters five through eight are fund-raising, educational programs, and public relations. Fund-raising is especially important in order for the school to build its endowment fund and add to its facilities and or academic programs. Educational programs are of vital attention in maintaining the university’s accreditation. Public relations are important in building the university’s image so that fund-raising is possible and educational programs are strengthened. “Fund-raising is the art of developing and nurturing relationships with people; the science lies in using data, research, and tested fund-raising models to achieve your organization’s revenue goals” (Smith, Bucklin & Associates , Inc., 2000, p.97). Fund-raising is important to Liberty University, specifically in building an endowment. An endowment fund is an institutions financial backing. Liberty secures its endowment fund by reaching out to alumni by encouraging them to give back to the school. Liberty also uses planned giving as a means of building its endowment fund. Chapter six discusses the topic of providing needed educational programs. “In the nonprofit world, educational programs are often the backbone of an organization’s services to its constituencies” (Smith, Bucklin & Associates, Inc., 2000, p. 123). Educational programs are the essential for Liberty University, as it is an accredited college. Liberty is also set apart from many universities, because it stresses Christian values. Its mission is to “Raise Champions for Christ”. Therefore, the university must be careful to maintain its mission by offering Christian

The Organization that I have chosen is the UNDP (United Nation Development Programme). This is a non-profit or organization that has as a purpose “Advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life” In addition they work to construct to reduce the poverty in the world and encourage the empowerment of the woman. The Internal Action plan it is basic for an organization that it is looking to growth in their business. It is necessary and for companies today, to take care of this matter, because on him relays the future of the organization. In addition UNDP should considerer to analyze the environment and based on that, construct their credibility in the countries were they searching to start their operations. 1.
