ITP 125 Lab 7: Firesheep Overview In this lab, students will learn about session hijacking using Firesheep, a recently released tool. Instructions 1. Ensure that Firefox is installed on your host system (http://www.mozilla.com) 2. Ensure that WinPCap is installed on your host system (http://www.winpcap.org/install/bin/WinPcap_4_1_2.exe). It should be installed with nmap 3. Go to Start-->Control Panel-->Network and Sharing Center 4. Click on Change adapter settings 5. Right-click on VMnet1. Disable this adapter. It is the host-only adapter. 6. Download Firesheep - https://github.com/codebutler/firesheep/downloads 7. Open up Firefox. Go to File-->Open File. Select the Firesheep file (firesheep-0.1-1.xpi). You will have to restart Firefox. 8. To view the Firesheep tools, go to View-->Sidebar-->Firesheep.
