Friday Exercise on Glaucon’s Speech: Ring of Gyges/Groundhog Day Instructions: Discuss your answers to these questions in the group and document any major disagreements between the group members. 1. If you experienced the same day over and over again, and there were no lasting consequences for any action that you did, would you do evil/immoral things if they gave you some slight pleasure? Examples: Murder, torture, cannibalism, incest, rape, etc. 2. If you experienced the same day over and over again, would you still do some immoral actions, such as theft and deceit, but not terribly evil and violent actions like the ones listed in the previous question?
