Using this information, what step(s) do you plan to take to become a more effective manager? In taking the learning styles assessment I saw that I was very balanced in all areas except for the visual and verbal scale. On this scale I rated a 9 to the visual side. Before taking the assessment I knew that I was a visual learner but did not understand the vast disparity between my visual side and my verbal side. I think that knowing I am so visual will now allow me to be more understanding in teaching situations to the differences in learning styles. In taking the emotional intelligence assessment I learned that though I am very self-motivated I am not very aware of changing emotions among others. I can see this being an issue as a leader or manger because being unable to detect the emotional changes of those who are seeking guidance from you can leave them dejected and feeling underappreciated for the work in which they are accomplishing. To work on this I need to focus on the emotions of others so that I can better recognize the signs to changing emotional states. In taking the HR personality assessment I learned that I am an ISTJ, or Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging; ISTJ’s are often called inspectors. I feel that the assessment is fairly accurate. The main identifying aspects of an inspector are leaders who like facts and proven methods to accomplish goals and assignments. The assessment states that inspectors are generally straight line and this is the area where I feel like it varies from me a little, I feel that I am flexible and
