Buffer A buffer overflow is one type of attack caused when a program does not check user input. Shellcode is the list of hex characters in the middle DBMS The most common way to store information for web applications are through sophisticated database management systems Relational database organizes information into ‘tables’ that can be combined and queried based on common fields Primary Key Each entry (row) in a table must be uniquely referenced by a unique Foreign Key A field in a table that refers to the ‘primary key’ in a second table is known as a ‘foreign key’. Schema The structure and interrelations between databases are defined in the ‘schema’. Structured Query The most common way to manipulate data is a called Structured Query Language ( SQL ) INSERT Used to create a record DELETE Used to remove a record SELECT Used to retrieve information UPDATE Used to change information
