Customs – some international laws come from this. It comes from this unless otherwise stated in a treaty. b. Treaties – e.g. NAFTA (creates own legal obligations that described in that treaty) i. UN Charter – Created the United Nations, 192 nations sign it ii. NATO (North Atlantic treaty organization) – US and Nations of Europe set up this treaty (scare of Russians trying to take over Europe after WWII) Created NATA in which we are obligated help European nations and vice versa iii. US-Mexico Extradition Treaty – You can bring back a criminal even if they cross the border. iv. Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Immunity – people who are sent by our country (ambassadors) and they are entitled to be immune to local court (cannot be arrested for anything you do within that country, you can only be kicked out of the country). v.
