Resumes are brief and sell your knowledge, skills and abilities. CVs are long, detailed and emphasize academic, teaching and research experience. It is not unusual to have many versions of a resume so that you can highlight experience and knowledge most relevant to a particular position. CVs are tweaked, but most of the experience would remain the same for each academic position. The average recruiter will give your resume approximately 20 seconds upon initial review!
