Expected Graduation: MS - June 2010, PhD - June 2013. Grades: 4.12/4 Bachelor of Technology, Electrical engineering Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Madras (2004-’08). Grades: 9.46/10 EXPERIENCE • Interference Alignment for MIMO (Wireless Networks, in progress): Interference alignment techniques promise a huge gain (as large as 4900%) in capacity. Further it may be feasible to implement interference alignment on the rapidly evolving 4G networks. In my work, I am exploring possiblities of interference alignment for MIMO channels under imperfect CSI. • Network Information Theory (Sep 2009-present): Investigating multiuser systems in an information theoretic context to determine capacity regions and optimal coding schemes. This work is supported by a Research Assistantship under prof. Thomas Cover. • DUDE for Images (Universal Schemes in Information Theory, Fall 2009): Applied Discrete Universal DEnoiser (DUDE) to image denoising. Large alphabet sizes and sparse statistics result in suboptimality of DUDE. We tested techniques that could work around the large alphabet problem....
