PROJECT DESCRIPTION Sammy Student performs a statistical experiment by tossing a fair coin 5 times and observing all the possible outcomes. Thus far, Sammy has come up with only part of the actual sample space of the experiment, i.e. the set of all possible distinct outcomes. Can you assist Sammy and find the missing elements in the sample space? Information About this Project For this project you will prepare / utilize an electronic spreadsheet that displays all the possible outcomes in the sample space of a particular experiment. Steps to Complete this Project STEP 1 Open a New MS Excel Worksheet Launch MS Excel and copy the worksheet, shown in Figure 1 , onto your Book1 file. Let H stands for a HEADS outcome and T stands for a TAILS outcome. The outcome HHHTH, for example, indicates the coin showed a HEADS on the first, second and third toss, then showed a TAILS on the fourth toss and finally a HEADS on the last toss. As a hint, there are exactly the same number of outcomes that begin with a H as there are that begin with a T. STEP 3 Submit Your Worksheet Once you have determined the missing entries, write your name, course number and date at the lower portion of your spreadsheet, submit a copy of it for credit.
