Matthew Ferris Tech Theater 6 th 11/16/06 A Midsummer Nights Dream Intro- A Midsummer Nights Dream/ by William Shakespeare/ 11/16/06 / Clark High School The theme of the play is Oberon trying to get Titania to spend all her time with him and not her child. The mood starts out happy and care free but turns tense and angry when Oberon comes and starts fighting. The play starts with Oberon and Titania fighting over the child. Then they leave and the rustics come on to practice their play. After a while we learn of Oberon’s plan to put a spell on Titania to make her fall in love with him. Bottom however is then changed into a donkey and wakes Titania. This makes her fall in love with him. Eventually Oberon fixes this and they both awake thinking it was a dream. Finally the rustics perform their play. Praise- Some praise was that the twist in the script made it a lot funnier, more modern, and overall just a better play. There was also good costume variety which made it feel more realistic and more enjoyable to watch.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
