Memorandum To: Jim Nantell (City Manager of Burlingame, CA) From: Anthony Hardy (Assistant to the City Manager) Date: October 22, 2007 Re: RECOMMENDATION FOR A CRM SOFTWARE PROVIDER After analyzing and rating the three major customer relationship management (CRM) software providers for local governments, I recommend that the City of Burlingame choose Comcate. The three software providers that I analyzed were (a) Comcate, (b) GovOutreach and (c) GovPartner. Comcate Ease of Use Comcate’s software is by far the easiest to use for both citizens and staff. Their interface integrates the same colors and layout as the city’s website, which produces a seamless transition between the two web pages. When citizens log on to file a complaint, they are immediately shown the steps that they need to follow. The submission process is very intuitive, so that even senior citizens who haven’t had much experience working with computers won’t run into problems. This is important considering that a vast proportion of Burlingame citizens are retired. Unique Features
