Monday, January 10, 2011 (2/28) 1. Announcements : Agenda : I will place the daily agenda on a chair near the classroom door. Please pick up a copy when you enter the classroom. Grammar Exam : I count the scores from two exams: the Grammar Exam (with 75 questions and worth 38 points) and the Final Exam (100 questions and worth 100 points). The Grammar Exam is standardized, meaning all MComm 320 sections use the same test. There are actually two versions, A and B. (They were created by Dr. Baker, the author of our text; thus, I refer to them as Dr. Baker’s Grammar Exams.) You may take the exam twice, once using the A version and once using the B version. The highest score between the two will be counted. Or, if you are content with your score for the first exam, you do not need to take the second grammar exam. Because the Grammar Exam is one of the items that has a wide point spread (thus heavily influencing the course grade) and because it is a very difficult exam, I offer the
