Required course materials: South-Western Federal Taxation – Comprehensive Volume - 2011 Edition Income tax forms and instructions (copy from back of book or download from IRS website (www.irs.gov) Course objectives: To understand the basics of federal income taxation as it applies to individuals – including: (1) the basic concepts underlying the tax law, (2) the legislative, administrative, and judicial sources of our tax laws, and (3) the rules and regulations pertaining to the taxation of individuals.
