I started the power pointpresentation by informing them why I chose to do this topic of increased suicide rates amongteens. They all understood my nursing career has been with psychiatric patients, many who haveattempted suicide multiple times. I presented my PowerPoint on the necessity of betterscreenings for teens on admission. I gave multiple examples of adolescents that I haveinterviewed and many interviews that I have witnessed. Though there are many great ways thatnurses assess, there are many details that are not assessed that become the reason for a teen’snext suicide attempt.
