Provide a one-page (single spaced) summary of your assessment, commendations, and suggestions. Paper-clip your one-page review to the original essay, which should itself include your editing marks and marginal comments. 1. Thesis The paper offers a clear thesis statement. The thesis goes beyond announcing the paper’s topic by stating the paper’s central argument in no more than one or two sentences. The thesis appears in the paper’s opening paragraphs.
