Spring 2011 Dr. Brown FAMR 230 Life Span Development Online through Laulima Spring 2011 Instructor: Dr. Leilani Brown Miller Hall 110 University of Hawaii at Manoa brownlei@hawaii.edu lanimaureen@yahoo.com Course Description This course covers normal growth and development from conception to death. It will be run entirely online on the Laulima website. There are no required face-to- face meetings. We will cover historical and current issues and research based on an ecological, cross-cultural perspective with the focus on developmental changes from conception to death. We will also learn about the connections between health and normal development, global perspectives of health and development, and applications of this knowledge. Note: UHM Policies regarding Academic Honesty apply. All work for this class must be new work, undertaken for the first time in this class. Honor comes from within. 1
