L e i l a n i B r o w n 4 / 8 / 1 1 Mind Games We have all engaged in some kind of mind games in our lives; crossword puzzles, mazes, matching games, find the difference pictures, and more recently sudoku. Even putting together a standard puzzle is a mind game of sorts. What kinds of games hold our attention ? Computer game designers are always wrestling with this problem. Humans are easily bored and are quite capable of using only a small portion of their brain to play most games. What kinds of activities actually help keep the brain healthy and 4 / 8 / 1 1 Lifespan and the Brain In this time of much discussion about Alzheimers disease and other brain problems, we are all searching for more information about how our brains work and how brain function can be maintained and enhanced as we grow older. The more we know, the better we can prevent loss of brain function.
