It is made up of four components which are individualized consideration, intellectual stimulation, idealized influence and inspirational motivation. 4 Components of Transformational 4 Components of Transformational Leadership Individualized Consideration is when leaders identify follower’s needs and interests to create a more capable and engaged follower. Inspirational motivation is creating shared values and vision. Idealized influence is the foundation a leader has built over their career and intellectual stimulation is when leaders create an environment for innovation. Shared Values and Vision Shared Values and Vision The foundation of any organization is values and vision. Strong leaders work with their followers to create shared values and vision which enables them to transcend extrinsic motivation to build intrinsic motivation among their followers and elevate the purpose of the team to something higher. High Performing Teams High Performing Teams A high performing team is a group of people who build a focused relationship in order to accomplish agreed upon goals. The team goes through the phases of forming, storming, norming, performing and then adjourning to achieve the goals. This process enables alignment, ownership, and accountability among the team.
