Abdelrahman Mohamed el Zohairy 19-3224 T48 This article was an applied, quantitative, and confirmatory research; because it can be applied in real life, has numerical values and tables, and has a hypothesis. In addition, this is a primary source (first hand research) that includes a gap and a purpose. The purpose and aim of this study was to observe national patterns of kids eating fast-food, and to find out if fast food has a negative effect on the diet quality that it may cause overweight among children. There are several variables in this article, the independent variable is eating fast food, and the dependant variables are diet quality and energy intake. The research question of this article was: What is the effect of children eating fast food, and the diet quality and energy intake that leads to obesity among these children? It was hypothesized that these children who ate fast food, in comparison to whom didn’t, would have a higher overall energy intake and a very low diet quality.
