Course Objectives: To continue development of the ability to formulate and solve engineering problems To expand knowledge gained in EAS 207 by considering the response of components and structures under dynamic conditions To develop an understanding of the concepts of energy and momentum To apply knowledge gained in mathematics courses to solve engineering problems To improve Matlab programming skills To prepare the student for upper level undergraduate studies in mechanics Grading Policy: Homework Assignments (10%) In-Semester Exams (3 @ 20% each) Final Comprehensive Exam (30%) Bonus for Matlab Project (maximum 5%) Academic Integrity and Conduct: All of the regulations specified or referred to in the 2010 – 2011 UB Undergraduate Catalog shall apply throughout this course ( http://undergrad-catalog.buffalo.edu/ ). 1
