Price Change Analysis This spreadsheet calculates the amount that sales volume must change in order to match the effect of an up or down price change on a product's gross contribution; that is, total dollar contribution to fixed costs recovery and profit. It is a useful tool to evaluate requests from sales for a price reduction and for considering a price increase. Current contribution margin % = ((Price-Variable cost)/Price)*100%
