A Course Of Diversity 2 The layers of Diversity are unlimited. Qualities and characteristics are the way that people can be identified. Some people identify people by their ethnicity, race, gender or appearance in general. When it come to diversity it is important to know that one culture is better then the other and they all should be respected. If I had to create a training program I would focus on the four layers of diversity. There are four layers of diversity and they are personality, internal dimensions, external dimensions, and organizational dimensions. Understanding the four layers of diversity will make an organization successful and make management effect. Getting closer to an organization’s goals and mission is done once the differences and the similarities are looked at when there is a diverse group of people working together. A Culture Diversity program should focus on the four layers of diversity. Trainees should learn different stereotypes and culture misunderstanding. The program will teach how to interact verbally and non-verbally with the word team and customers. The will have to learn multiple communication styles of different cultures. The main focus in my training class will be non-verbal communications. Although there are many of people that speak different languages understanding signals and body languages is a critical part of communications. Non-verbal communication American style can be very offensive to many other cultures. The list below referenced from Brighthub.com is a great example of what employees should learn win working in a in a diversity culture environment. “While Americans smile freely at strangers, in Russia this is considered strange
