Changes 2 ABTRACT: This essay describes the changes in the organization of RBC. Since the change in the economy there have been changes in the structure, processes and department sizes. There are many Shareholders involved with the impact of change within RBC. This essay also describes the change management approach and the recommended action steps that would be advised for minimizing adverse impact on RBC and its employees. This essay mainly focuses on the systemic nature of RBC and how the changes made will increase the effectiveness of RBC, its processes, and the productivity of the employees. There are many organization changes that will be made within RBC Bank. The economy which is described as “The management of domestic affairs; the regulation and government of household matters; especially as they concern expense or disbursement; as, a careful economy.” (Harris, 2009, pg. 6) The economy is the reason that RBC Bank plans to develop new structures, processes and plan to down size the North Carolina locations. RBC Bank has decided to out source their operations department to India locations. Outside of the 360 Branches in North Carolina, there are 26 Operations locating throughout the state. (FIDC, 2007, pg. 1-12) The Bank is trying to downsize the number of Operation building in North Carolina to save on cost of operation. Because of these changes RBC is forced to make new structures in each and every department at these Operation locations. “An organizational structure is a mainly hierarchical concept of subordination of entities that collaborate and contribute to serve one common aim.” (Harris, 2009, pg.3). The changes in the structure will consist of down sizing management and added more people as their direct reporters. In this process some individual jobs will be terminated and out sourced to India to save cost. Processes will

Changes 3 change, because employees will have new duties and responsibility. There will be a few jobs that monitor the progress on the Indian location to insure productivity and little down time. Many jobs will be lost in this process because the labour can be done at a cheap price in India. For an example a position that makes $40,000.00 a year here in
