When an employer wants an effective work environment they may use measurement methods to evaluate the employees. When the objective is to get the results of performance, an appraisal is used to result in higher outcomes in productivity and how employees meet the job’s specifications. Defining standards of performance and keeping the objectivity maintained is a huge challenge for performance appraisals. According to the text (Dessler, p.206) Appraisal are used to evaluate, deficiencies and reinforce strengths. I believe that an appraisal report could be inaccurate, because the day that they are gathering data just may not be a good day for everyone. This means that people don’t perform the same way everyday. There maybe employees that look busy all-day and others that wait to be told what to do. These are some things that should be looked at when the data is collected. Once the appraisal is reviewed and the manager or Human Resource personal sits with the employees and reveals their individual weakness and strengths. This helps give the employee and heads up on what they are doing wrong or
