UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY Engineering 7 – Spring 2009 Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Instructor: Professor Rector 1 In-class labs will last about 2 hours and must be completed in the computer lab. Take-home labs will be due approximately one week after they are assigned, and you will be able to work on them during 2 lab sessions as well as outside the lab sessions. 2 Unless specified otherwise in the text of the lab 1 Lab submission guidelines The guidelines described in this document apply to all lab assignments (in-class and take-home). 1 In-class labs must be taken in the section you are enrolled in. Due to the size of the class, there will be no exception to the guidelines described in this document. However, the two lowest lab grades will be dropped. Report A report should be submitted for each lab assignment. The report must contain the answers to the questions asked in the text of the lab and all the Matlab code that was developed for the assignment. The code must be commented. The report must be one file in PDF format. 2 It should be typed, and should not include any scanned handwritten parts. Graphs (from Matlab only) may be included in the report.
