Office hours : Due to the size of the class and the problems associated with juggling large numbers of students, I will see students by appointment only . Email me to set up an appointment. There are no office hours 24 hours prior to any exam /quiz. Office hours are: A. Monday 1pm-4:30 pm. B. Wednesday 10am-12 pm 4. Directions to my office A. My office is on the 8 th floor of the Mary Ellen Jones Building (MEJB). MEJB is located south of the dental school on the corner of West St. and Manning Drive. My office is in room 822D. Enter the front of the building! When you exit the elevator, turn RIGHT and you will see my office block in front of you. B. To get to MEJB: 1) D riving : From Franklin- Head South on Columbia, take the jog around Carolina Inn and turn left onto Pittsboro. Take left fork of Pittsboro, which will cross S. Columbia, and become Manning Dr. There is a parking garage available to the public on the second block, turn right onto New East Dr. Parking is $1.50 /hour. MEJB is on the corner of West St. and Manning opposite the Dental School and caddy-corner from the hospital. 2) Walking : Take Columbia south, to Manning Dr. MEJB is on the corner of West and Manning. 1 5. Text : Microbiology, A Human Perspective, 6 th Ed., The McGraw Hill Publ. Co., Inc., 2007. The textbook is required for class. 1) The textbook is at the Student Bookstores. 2) Earlier editions do not have the same images. B. I have two copies on file at the Health Affairs Library. They can be checked out for 4 hours at a time. 6. Class I N FO: A. All class materials will be posted on Blackboard. This will include outlines for lectures as well as the lab manual. B. You will need to have an Onyen from the university in order to access Blackboard. Make sure the email address they have listed for you is the email address you primarily use. Outlines for each lecture will be posted online under course documents.
