Hae Dong Yoo Writing the Essay Prof. Tara Parmiter Sep. 12, 2006 I remember being impressed when a band named Creed broke out with its new song ‘Freedom Fighter’ three years ago. The song had quite interesting lines “I'm just a freedom fighter, no remorse raging on in holy war soon there'll come a day when you're face to face with me,” and I liked that because the song seemed to contain a sort of human rights thoughts i.e. freedom. Four years later I had a chance to see a drawing which seems to contain exactly same idea as the song ‘Freedom Fighter’ contains. The drawing is ‘Captive Pegasus’ by Odilon Redon. The drawing seems to be drawn with a pencil. In the drawing there are only two subjects, a man holding a bridle for his own ‘booty’, and Pegasus subdued by the man. Pegasus is raging against the man, but the man doesn’t let Pegasus go. The man in the drawing holds the bridle on his left hand, and a subject that seems like a net on his right hand. It seems that the man is trying to avoid the face of Pegasus, and Pegasus seems to
