University of Phoenix Axia College HUM130 Week 3 Assignment 3 Hinduism is a way of life and has rituals and devotional aspects. India is a religious form has been classified as a single tradition. It was introduced in the nineteenth century under British colonial rule as a category for the census and the term was to reach a way of referring to foreigners. Sanatana Dharma is an alternative term for Hinduism. Sanatana is the belief that these forms have always existed. Dharma is thus a holistic approach to social cohesion and the common good, which corresponds to the order in the cosmos. Hindus believe that life and death are the result of the Supreme Truth. Everyone is born on the Supreme Bliss. Ultimate Bliss is mainly due to the family, education and society. There is a God or Goddess of wealth for all learning, so each individual's personal god is a symbol of their highest ideals. There are three main sects in the Hindu Vaishnava, Shaivism and Shakti. An individual's personal God becomes the only refuge for many. Moreover, some question the existence of God. Most applicants are students who read and try to find answers. It is often easier to return to the way they were before, because it is difficult to understand Brahman or only a reality. Some cannot accept the fact that God is not going to help you find the wealth, give comfort, or miracles. Some do happen to go further in their religion and even become silent or singing
