Do you believe that business has any direct ethical duties to living beings other than humans? Do animals, plants, or ecosystems have rights? What criteria have you used in answering such questions? What is your own standard for determining what objects count, from a moral point of view? In my personal opinion, I do believe that any living and breathing have their own rights. They are a being, such as us, and they have just as much right to living a healthy, happy life just as we do. While they may not be as advanced as us, everything is equally important to our existence as human being, which is why it is our duty to take care of what takes care of us essentially. Animals provide us with food, and that goes as far back as we can go, plants also provide us with food, as well as our oxygen, which is crucial- because without oxygen or clean air, we wouldn't be here.
